WWE Rumors 2017: Roman Reigns Still Down, Jason Jordan Takes Over in 'Survivor Series'?
Roman Reigns remains down and incapacitated due to a viral illness he contacted in October. As his match nears in the "Survivor Series," WWE might be looking at Jason Jordan to take his place.
Reports reveal that Reigns' health status remains uncertain as of press time. A bug infected the wrestler that also forced Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt to stay in bed and recover in the last few weeks.
WWE is now looking into Jason Jordan as a replacement in case Reigns won't still get an all clear from the doctors. Jordan will be filling Reigns spot in the Raw Team to allow their match in the "Survivor Series" to continue.
Jordan, however, doesn't have the same draw and crowd appeal as "The Big Dog." Fans of WWE have yet to warmly receive his presence and performance on the ring that some are asking if he will be a worthy replacement.
Reigns is supposed to be ready for the Nov. 19 match in the "Survivor Series," which will air on pay-per-view (PPV). The wrestler already skipped a prior PPV match due to his sickness.
His people say he's not staying in the hospital and believe he will recover soon. WWE, however, has to make the necessary preparations in case Reigns still won't be fit to return.
In other related news, rumors are rife that John Cena will also be part of the "Survivor Series" but not as one of the wrestlers. Cena could likely referee the match pitting Universal champ Brock Lesnar versus WWE champ Jinder Mahal.
In October, WWE reportedly planned on inviting Cena as well as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Stone Cold Steve Austin as referees. Cena has not been active in WWE since his match against Reigns in September. He's been saying he's no longer tied to an agent at the moment, so a referee gig isn't farfetched.
