WWE Rumors: Is It the Right Time for The Shield Reunion?

Following the action-packed No Mercy pay-per-view event, new rumors are churning in WWE land about a possible reunion of the supergroup The Shield.

James McKenna of Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns will be back together in the ring as a team at WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) next month.

The trio will apparently be set up to feud with The Miztourage, which includes The Miz, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, and settle scores at the upcoming pay-per-view event. The Shield reunion is reportedly being done to boost ticket sales for WWE TLC.

Many fans are excited about the possibility seeing that they have not seen Rollins, Ambrose and Reigns fighting on the same side since the group split up in 2014.

However, What Culture believes that if The Shield will reunite for a battle, it should be with another group that matches their strength and star power. While The Miz will do, the site is unsure that Dallas and Axel fit the bill.

In addition, the site believes that it is too soon and WWE is somehow rushing into it. What Culture believes that the company should take its time cooking The Shield reunion up, much like how they did bringing together Rollins and Ambrose, who are currently Tag Team champions and are shaping up to be one unstoppable duo that fans would like to see more of.

Reigns, on the other hand, is still struggling to win the crowd over looking at how his victory over John Cena at WWE No Mercy was received. He is being set up to battle Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 34 next year.

Either way, it looks like The Shield reunion is happening. Based on McKenna's track record when it comes to WWE rumors, he has proven himself to be quite credible.

It is unclear what WWE has planned for The Shield after their TLC comeback as a group so fans will just have to keep an out for now.
