WWE Rumors: Plans for Samoa Joe's Return May Already Be Laid Out

Latest rumors hinting that Samoa Joe may return near the end of October

Samoa Joe has been out of action for a while now, so it is possible some fans may have already forgotten just how good he looked standing up against the WWE's top guys.

Wrestling fans may be reminded of the kind of impact Joe can make pretty soon, however, with rumors hinting that his return is in the works.

Joe will likely be making a comeback near the end of the month, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said.

Considering that storylines are already in place for the "TLC" pay-per-view that will take place on Oct. 22, that likely means Joe's return will have to happen after that day, which leaves the Oct. 23 and Oct. 30 episodes of "Monday Night RAW" as the candidates to feature the former "NXT" Champion's next appearance.

On top of that, a recent edition of Cageside Seats' "Rumor Roundup" noted that Braun Strowman and Finn Balor could be some of the likely candidates for Samoa Joe to take on when he comes back.

Both potential feuds are interesting for a few reasons.

Should the WWE decide to go with Strowman-Samoa Joe, that feud would be worth seeing simply because the two men really have not been able to just go at each other.

While they were involved in that multi-person feud heading into "SummerSlam," opportunities to see the two of them work together were fleeting. A full-fledged one-on-one feud between Strowman and Samoa Joe would be able to expand on those early encounters and could turn out to be something special in the long run.

In contrast, a Balor-Samoa Joe feud would be familiar as the two wrestlers famously fought for months back when they were at "NXT." That feud was something special, and more fans may be able to enjoy it now since both men are on the active roster.

It is also possible that Joe, Strowman and Balor could all be involved in one big feud, with the winner getting the next crack at dethroning current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

The decision-makers at the WWE have some options available to them with regards to how to handle the comeback of Samoa Joe, and if they do things right, fans could be in for some incredible matches involving the returning wrestler.
