WWE superstar Daniel Bryan wants to see John Cena turn heel

WWE superstar Daniel Bryan said he would love to see John Cena turn heel and even compared the latter to Hulk Hogan's similar feat in 1996.

Daniel Bryan was speaking to 104.4 Virgin Radio Dubai to promote the upcoming WWE 2K16 video game when Hulk Hogan's heel turn in 1996 was brought up. Bryan said he would love to see John Cena do the same, according to What Culture.

Hulk Hogan's heel turn back then revolutionized wrestling and gave birth to the World Championship Wrestling. Bryan added that since people nowadays tend to cheer for heels a lot, he could not say if Cena would be successful if he turned heel, the report relays.

Bryan himself admitted that he likes the New Day as heels and that he cheers for them because he has a lot of fun watching them. He also revealed that his favorite WWE wrestler is Cesaro, but New Day is his favorite act, Wrestling Inc reports.

If John Cena would attempt to turn heel, those who are booing him might end up cheering for him if they deemed him "cool" as a heel, the report details.

WWE fans have been wondering about this since Cena became the WWE champ for 10 years, proving that he is the Hulk Hogan of the present generation. Although he swears sometimes to convey aggressiveness, he is usually a good role model for children.

Most likely, Cena would never turn heel because he makes so much money for WWE, Make A Wish Foundation, and all the charity organizations benefiting from his work.

When asked about Kurt Angle returning to WWE, Bryan said he does not know what the problem between Angle and WWE was all about. He said he wants to see Angle in a final sendoff at WrestleMania, or in a match opposite Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns.
