"X-Men: Apocalypse" Plot News: Filming For New Movie Tipped to Start in 2017
"X-Men: Apocalypse" is coming in a couple of months, and while many fans are still drowned in the adventure and action that the movie promises, a new report suggests that the seventh installment is already in talks for production.
Dr. Charles Xavier's "X-Men" have been some of this generation's most loved heroes, not only because they're a mix-and-match of unique capabilities and extreme personalities but also because the franchise has paved the way for superhero movies to conquer the big screens.
With the massive success of each film in the franchise, it doesn't come as a surprise that executives may already be prepping for the seventh installment, months before the release of the sixth film.
Being the longest-running superhero movie franchise, and obviously the world's eye-opener to the world of comic-books-turned-movies, producers should only be confident in the fandom that Wolverine and his team have obtained.
According to Den of Geek, a recent report from Le Journal de Montreal said that Bryan Singer is involved in a discussion for a movie that will start shooting in 2017. While it is uncertain if this movie is "X-Men 7," based on the time line that the franchise has taken for the past several years, it can possibly be the seventh in "X-Men."
The report also mentioned that Montreal will be the site for shooting. It is worth noting that both "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "X-Men: Apocalypse" had significant memories of the area so it further adds to the possibility that an upcoming movie for the franchise may already be in the early stages.
Meanwhile, director Singer has shared a new photo for the first "Apocalypse" teaser set to be revealed next month. The Instagram photo shows Dr. Xavier with strange eyes. According to Screen Crush, the doctor's eyes, which are almost entirely black in the picture, may be hinting that the "Apocalypse" will have a huge and negative effect on the person who created the heroes.
"X-Men 7" has no title and no official release date announced yet, but fans can settle on "X-Men: Apocalypse" when it hits the big screens on May 27, 2016.
