"X-Men: Apocalypse" New Trailer Coming, Two New Posters Released

The ninth installment to the "X-Men" film series "X-Men: Apocalypse" is nearing its premiere date. But before 20th Century Fox could bring in the movie to the big screen, the American film studio is treating fans another sneak peek via a new trailer. According to a report by Comic Book, the studio's official Spanish Twitter account announced that they are in fact releasing a new trailer on Thursday, March 17.

Although there is no update from Fox's English language Twitter or in the X-Men Movies account, something is still coming up as the Spanish account is a verified one. Fox has also released some new promotional posters. As detailed in Melty, one poster showed the team "defend" featuring Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and his other allies including Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) who is in the forefront.

Meanwhile, on the other poster, it showed the team "destroy" and it features Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) together with his four fearsome line-up, Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Angel (Ben Hardy).

Fox is expected to be on the hype in promoting "X-Men: Apocalypse" as it is nearing premiere date and it is coming out along the season of release of other big movies like "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Captain America: Civil War." Cinema Blend noted that the new "X-Men" film will be coming up a few weeks after the release of "Captain America: Civil War."

"X-Men: Apocalypse" will tell the story of Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's "X-Men" universe. He awakens after thousands of years and is determined to conquer the world by recruiting a team of powerful mutants including Magneto. This leads Professor X and his team to gear up and battle their greatest foe ever.

Fans can catch "X-Men: Apocalypse" on May 27, 2016.
