'X-Men: Apocalypse' News, Spoilers: Tye Sheridan on Feeling Silly Playing Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp Explains What Makes Her Storm Different
Actor Tye Sheridan, best known for appearing in films "The Tree of Life" (2011) and "Mud" (2012), takes on the role of iconic Marvel superhero Cyclops in this year's "X-Men" installment, "X-Men: Apocalypse."
But while any other 19-year-old would have probably thought that playing a mutant who shoots energy beams out of his eyes is the coolest thing ever, Sheridan recently shared that playing Cyclops sometimes left him feeling silly.
"Everyone else's moves are kinda cool, and I just take off my glasses and stare at someone really intensely and growl," the actor told Entertainment Weekly.

In an interview for EW's Summer Movie Preview, Sheridan also revealed that he has signed on for two more films in the "X-Men" franchise. This is an incredible stroke of luck for the young actor, who admitted that he had not seen any of the "X-Men" films until fairly recently.
According to the actor, "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which was released in 2014, was the first "X-Men" film he saw.
"After I saw it, I just thought, 'Oh my God. I've been missing this the whole time?!'" Sheridan told EW. "I went back and watched all the previous films, and I quickly became obsessed."
Meanwhile, his "Apocalypse" co-star, Alexandra Shipp, who takes on the role of a younger Storm in the film, recently shared what makes her take on the Marvel superheroine different from Halle Berry's portrayal.
Berry played Storm in "X-Men" (2000) and in three of its sequels, including "Days of Future Past."
In a live Twitter Q&A session, Shipp said, "Well, I can tell you one thing okay, this Storm's got problems, alright?"
"She's living on the street, its like real rude, like, it's a completely different Storm, like you're seeing Storm from the beginning," she explained.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" drops May 27.
