'X-Men: Apocalypse' plot news: Stan Lee shares details about his cameo

Stan Lee shared details about his cameo on the upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" film.

The creator of Marvel's superheroes and villains is known for his cameos in all Marvel films. However, during the San Diego Comic-Con, he shared that his cameo for "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be different from his previous appearances.
He shared with Larry King that his cameo on the upcoming installment of the X-Men franchise will feature him in a scene that was important to him. He said, "That cameo is different than any I have ever done before, because I did it with another person that is very important to me." While he did not share any more detail on who that character is, fans were speculating that he could possibly mean Olivia Munn or Michael Fassbender. However, it could also be someone from his personal life.

Lee has previously appeared an extra on the X-Men movie series, playing roles such as a hotdog vendor, or a man mending his lawn. It was reported that he will play an emcee in the film "Deadpool."

More news on the film revealed that actor Paul Haggis shared his sentiments on his upcoming role. He said, "It was great because there's an embodiment of such big ideas, you're not working in the realm of naturalism. And just because something's natural doesn't mean that it's interesting — and I think Kubrick knew that very well. Sometimes it's fun to push performance into other places that is not just about the same kind of verité thing. You can go to heightened places in a Greek tragedy or kabuki kind of way. You have these forms that express more than just an individual's personality. And that's been really fun to play with in X-Men."

Haggis will be portraying a 5,000-year-old villain mutant who unleased the Old Testament destructions. He will also be present in the new "Star Wars" film.

X-Men: Apocalypse will premiere in theaters on May 27, 2016.
