Madden added that they made great preparations to create a series with adventure, mythology and interesting relationships among the characters. He is confident the "X-Men" series will be exciting and something to look forward to.

"X-Men" TV Series Plot – Morlocks?
There's a big chance that the new series will only be connected to the "X-Men," GQ pointed out. The synopsis of the story revealed that the setting will be in a mutant-hating government. Two parents and their child with mutant powers will be on the run to save themselves against the government until they encounter a group of mutants who can take them in to survive.

The outlet speculates that the new "X-Men" TV series could refer to Morlocks, a group of mutants in the Marvel world where they had to hide under sewer systems to stay alive. The Morlocks are reportedly led by Callisto, a mutant with great strength, agility, reflexes and speed, as well as accelerated healing.

Another "X-Men" TV Series?
If the unnamed "X-Men" TV series were to hit, it would follow the footsteps of "Legion" on FX Networks. "Legion" is a Marvel "X-Men" spinoff, and the story focuses on the son of Charles Xavier, The Verge noted. The television series was created and written by Noah Hawley.

Dan Stevens stars as David Haller, an admitted psychiatric patient for the voices he's hearing inside his head. Once inside the asylum, he begins to doubt that the voices are illusions because of an encounter with a fellow patient. Stevens will be joined by fellow co-stars Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart, Jermie Harris, Katie Aselton and Bill Irwin.
