Xbox Game Pass News: Microsoft Adds More Popular Games to Streaming Service's Library
Microsoft opened the month of November with a new list of popular games added to their Netflix-like service called Xbox Game Pass.
The Xbox Game Pass is another exclusive subscription-based platform for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 players. It is being likened to Netflix as it works much like a streaming service for video games that is intended for players who are willing to pay its monthly fee of $9.99.
Upon paying the said fee, players will no longer have to buy a game that has been added to the Game Pass library to access them.
At the beginning of November, Microsoft added seven more highly popular games to the Game Pass roster, including "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," "Halo Wars Definitive Edition," "Resident Evil HD," "Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty," "The World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap," "Mega Man 9," and "Sky Force Anniversary."
Many players will be delighted to have unlimited access to the popular Konami-released game "The Phantom Pain."
The single-player campaign is famous for its mechanics that requires players to heavily rely on their stealthing abilities. Aside from its open world Afghanistan-inspired setting, players will need to be resourceful in finding ways to kill their enemies without making a mess or noise.
Meanwhile, Xbox said in the announcement statement: "There's no better time to bring Resident Evil HD to Xbox Game Pass than during Halloween. As a franchise, Resident Evil is a cornerstone of today's thriving survival-horror genre within gaming."
The horror game is set in 1998 where players can choose from the playable characters Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine in uncovering the mystery of serial killings.
The above-mentioned seven titles will be added to "over 100 great games" already included in the Game Pass library. New subscribers can try the 14-day free trial of the service before paying the $9.99 fee.
Other games that have already been previously added to the Xbox Game Pass roster are "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition," "NBA 2K16," "Bioshock" titles, "Fable 3," "DmC: Devil May Cry – Definitive Edition," "Layers of Fear," "Mad Max," "XCOM: Enemy Within," and more.
