Xbox Games With Gold February 2017 Free Games: Microsoft Reveals Updated List

A new month means another list of free games for Xbox players.

Microsoft recently announced another set of free games for the entire month of February. Every month, Microsoft lets Xbox Live Gold subscribers get exclusive access to as much as four games at no cost.

For February 2017, Xbox One players with Xbox Live Gold membership can access "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" for the entire month for free. As hinted by the game's title, it looks like Microsoft wants gamers to celebrate Valentine's Day with a free video game. "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" is known for its neon galactic visuals where players need to control their own battleship and play in a single or four-player mode to defeat the Anti-Love evil forces.

"Project CARS Digital Edition" is also up for free for Xbox One from Feb. 16 to March 15. In this game, players can drive using five legendary racing and luxury vehicles such as the Ford GT40 Mk IV, BMW M1 Pro Car, McLaren F1, Sauber C9, and Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Coupe DTM. Aside from its promised "next-generation racing simulation," players can also try an uninterrupted test drive and feel the road through an open world high-end graphics design.

Xbox Live Gold members with Xbox 360 will not miss out on the fun too. Microsoft has put up two free titles for them, including "Monkey Island 2: SE" where monkeys and pirates join together for a "misadventure" searching the lost treasure of Big Whoop. Players will also meet some evil zombies along the way as they also try to win back the heart of Elaine Marley. The game will be free until Feb. 15.

Lastly, Microsoft lets Xbox 360 players get to a galaxy far, far away for free with "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" which is available from Feb. 16 to Feb. 28. The game is set between the timelines of "Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith" and "Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope" where players can assume the character of Darth Vader's secret apprentice.

"Monkey Island 2: SE" and "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" are both available on Xbox One as well through the console's backward compatibility program.
