Xbox Live Gold News: Lineup of Free Games for October Announced

Just as Sony's PlayStation users are treated to an impressive lineup of free games every month, Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold subscribers get the same treat. On October, fans will be treated to a batch of free games the will be downloadable for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

According to Xbox Wire, the list of free games for Xbox Live Gold is topped by critically acclaimed "Gone Home: Console Edition." Lauded for its emotionally captivating story and visuals, the game title will be free starting on Oct. 1 for Xbox One users. It was developed by the same team who brought "Tacoma," and many fans have claimed that "Gone Home" is a game that no one should miss out on.

Next on the list of highly anticipated games to go for free is "The Turing Test," a science fiction video game known for its puzzles and challenge. Fans can avail "The Turing Test" on Oct. 16. The game title is a first-person puzzler and it is set on Europa, which is Jupiter's moon. It is lauded for the plot as well as the visuals that give gamers a unique experience.

On the other hand, Xbox 360 users will also be getting their own set of games, which includes "Rayman 3 HD," which is a video game that employs the infamous arcade platform. This version also features remastered visuals and updated audio. "Medal of Honor: Airborne" will also be available for play, which garnered attention from the fans as it is a game title known for being one of the best first-person shooter.

Meanwhile, reports also reveal that "Oxenfree" will remain to be available for download until Oct. 15, even though it was part of September's Xbox's Games with Gold. Furthermore, "Call of Duty" titles for Xbox consoles will be receiving a worthy discount for October.
