The long-requested screenshot functionality has finally been released, and according to the world's largest software making company, taking one is as simple as double-tapping the controller's Xbox button to capture an image of a game in progress.

With consoles equipped with Kinect, users can give a voice command for "Xbox, take a screenshot" to capture and automatically save an image.

The update also includes a screenshot manager called the Upload App, allowing users to manage video clips with Upload Studio, and take selected screenshots using their Menu button to set it as their background image. Microsoft has revealed they plan to take advantage of Upload to post images on social media platforms, such as their Twitter account.

Players will also be able to see more people they know in the gaming community with Suggested Friends, allowing them to include more players in their game, as well as opt to add more content for their activity feed from trending clip creators and broadcasters.

Users who aren't shy about revealing their real names among friends and community members will have this option, as well. And based on feedback from users, Microsoft has added a Tile Transparency feature that will allow console owners to adjust their background image's transparency level in the Tile Transparency option under My Xbox in Settings.

Other functionalities include new voice search settings under Privacy and Online Safety, a Report Spam option, and a Support OneGuide and Xbox One Digital TV Tuner for Australian users.
