Xbox One S Bundles News: 'Minecraft' Favorites Bundle at $249 From March 12-18
Bundles are a great way to purchase a desired game plus console for a trimmed price. As such, Xbox is further bringing the price down for one of the most creative titles yet, "Minecraft."
On the Xbox official Twitter account, it was announced that the Xbox One S "Minecraft" Favorites Bundle can be bought with $50 off, taking it down to $249 for this week. This promotion is available at participating U.S. retailers with the purchase of the said bundle.
The contents of the said bundle includes the "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition" Favorites Pack ($29.99 value) which has seven downloadable content (DLC) packs, "Minecraft" Builder's Pack ($16.99 value) which brings six more building packs, and "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition" ($26.99 regular value) for PC. Of course, all of these are topped off with a 500 GB Xbox One S with Wireless Controller ($299 value), boasting 4K technology and high-dynamic range (HDR).
Given the regular price of each item within the bundle, the collection itself is already a great deal. Deduct $50 more and it becomes an even better treat for potential Xbox gamers.
The game itself is nothing to scoff about, as its applications are limitless, unbound solely to gaming. Global Construction Review has learned that the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is using the game to entice more construction managers and use it as an instructional media.
"The beauty of 'Minecraft' and our lessons is that they are open source," CIOB deputy chief executive Bridget Bartlett said. "Anyone wanting to teach them can and has access to all the supporting tools they will need. We are already seeing a mixture of construction employers and schools in the UK and the US using these lessons to inspire the next generation of construction managers," she went on to say.
The game even fosters more creativity in gamers such that it creates surprising crossovers with other games. PC Gamer was able to get a glimpse of Mr. Squishy's "Pokémon Red" recreated within "Minecraft," and it is simply a stroke of genius.
If pushing boundaries is something that's within one's interest, then this bundle is appearing to be even more attractive.
