Xbox One X Releases Video Showing Ronda Rousey Demonstrating the Console
Microsoft's Xbox One X, debuted yesterday, and the company did not fall short in promoting its grand launch. Apart from having the Xbox boss appearing on TV to talk about their newest console, the company also tapped some celebrities who showcased "the true power" of their latest product.
Appearing on a video with TV host Conan O'Brien, former UFC women's champion Ronda Rousey demonstrated "what it feels like to experience true 4K gaming" via Microsoft's new console. Rousey was on stage with a certain Dustin who was also present for the demonstration.
After O'Brien gave the "go" signal, Rousey gave Dustin a low blow, putting him crumpled on the ground, as if in enormous pain. O'Brien then joins the party, saying "now let's show them what it's like to play with friends," before joining Rousey in kicking and stomping Dustin. The promotion was done in a comical way, though it aimed to send the message that the Xbox One X is "the world's most powerful console," as Microsoft had earlier marketed it.
Meanwhile, a report from Xbox Wire said in a post that the new console launches with the biggest games lineup in Xbox history. The company confirmed that 70 titles that were enhanced for the Xbox One X will arrive this week, 50 of which became available on launch date.
Some of the key titles the gaming giant mentioned include "Forza Motorsport 7," "Super Lucky's Tale," "Assassin's Creed: Origins," "FIFA 18," and "Middle-Earth: Shadow of War."
"We built Xbox One X to give game creators the most powerful platform to bring their visions to life and to give gamers the best console to play the games of the past, present, and future," said Phil Spencer, Microsoft's head of gaming.
Furthermore, Spencer said that fans can expect "more than 1,300 titles and more than 220 exclusives."
The report said that the Xbox One X caters to gamers who are looking for true 4K gaming. It is capable of driving native 4K resolutions, Wide Color Gamut, and Dynamic Range that easily bests what existing consoles offer.
The Xbox One X is now available for a price tag of $499 USD.
