Xbox, Outlook, Skype, and One Drive Users Among Those Affected by Microsoft Account Problems

A large number of users that rely on their Microsoft Accounts have reported problems with the login process, where the service reports that their account does not exist. This short-lived hiccup seems to have been sorted out by Microsoft, as accounts seem to have returned to working as normal at about 9:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).

A percentage of Xbox, Skype and Outlook users have reported issues with accessing their accounts, logging in, or sending and receiving messages. Xbox has acknowledged issues by tweeting about the outage.

Their Xbox Live status stated that the problem has affected Xbox live accounts, which have been preventing Xbox owners from using their console. The company has promises that their support team "is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience."
