Xbox Two Rumors: Microsoft Confirms Second Gaming Console

Microsoft is rumored to be working on an Xbox Two, and a company executive released a statement that seems to confirm the reports about another gaming console.

In an interview with The Verge, Xbox head Phil Spencer conveyed his certainty at the release of another Xbox console. He believes that Microsoft plans to expand the Xbox brand because there is still a large demand for gaming consoles, according to Christian Today (CT).

"I fully expect that you'll see another console from us [...] Our best customers are Xbox console customers," CT quotes Spencer's statement to The Verge. "And I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future. I'm 100 percent committed to that."

Spencer also said that they will go all-out for the Xbox Two when it is finally released. He said he wants to be able to give their Xbox customers what they expect, the report adds.

While Spencer did not detail what customers can expect from the rumored Xbox Two, Microsoft is expected to launch the next-gen console at an earlier date, Value Walk reports.

Rumor has it that Nintendo is also developing a successor to the Wii U. Sony, on the other hand, is rumored to be working on a PlayStation 5, the report details.

For now, Xbox's biggest rival in the gaming console industry is PlayStation. But TechRadar says the latter may still be the winner in this battle. The sale of Sony PlayStation 4 has soared significantly, and Microsoft Xbox One is still 20 million units short of its opponent's sales since the two consoles were launched. Some analysts say there is a possibility that Microsoft would not push through with Xbox Two.

As of now, details are scant about the Xbox Two, and the release date, price, and features of the console are still unconfirmed. More information is expected to surface in the coming months.
