'Xenoblade Chronicles 2' News: Another Rare Blade Unveiled, the Water-Elemental Yuuou

Several other Rare Blades featuring different elemental affinities were revealed previously

The developers of "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" have been unveiling Rare Blades one by one over the past few weeks, and there is another one for prospective players to meet.

The newest Rare Blade who developers want fans to meet is Yuuou.

Yuuou, just like other previously revealed Rare Blades, features quite a unique look. His feet and legs look almost artificial and it also appears as though a pair of goggles is resting on his head.

The picture provided by the developers of Yuuou showed him holding on to an impressive-looking weapon, one that may allow wielders to strike their opponents from a distance.

Another notable element of Yuuou's appearance is his slender frame. Given that he is aligned with the water element, him having that kind of frame makes sense, especially if he will be doing some swimming in the game. Things that look like fins are also attached to Yuuou's body, so maybe he really will be spending plenty of time in the seas and oceans of "Xenoblade Chronicles 2."

As noted earlier, Yuuou is just the latest Rare Blade to be revealed.

As seen in the Xenoblade Wiki, several other Rare Blades have already been introduced and they utilize their own weapons and are aligned with different elements.

There is the uniquely-designed Nyutsu who likes to use gigantic floating arms, a gigantic sword and the element of fire to defeat her opponents.

Another Rare Blade worth knowing is Raiko, and she prefers to use a big hammer and her power over electricity to get things done.

Aside from Rare Blades, there are also characters known as Special Blades included in the game. In all likelihood, Special Blades will have roles to play in the game's main story.

Common Blades are also present. Unlike the Special or Rare Blades, the appearances of individual Common Blades are not quite as unique.

Gamers will be able to learn more about the different kinds of Blades as soon as "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is released for the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 1.
