In all likelihood, the first moves that characters will use once a battle begins are auto-attacks. Auto-attacks are triggered whenever a character designated as a Driver is situated close to an enemy. They do not deal that much damage, but they can provide players with access to other more powerful moves called ARTS.

Along with dealing more damage, ARTS can also inflict some status effects. The ones made available to a Driver will depend on this character's active Blade. This means that players may want to check out the Blades they have and find which ones provide the best ARTS.

Drivers can also work with one another to hit their opponents with ART Combos inside "Xenoblade Chronicles 2." They will also be allowed to switch between their Blades in search of the most devastating combinations.

It is not just the Drivers who can unleash powerful attacks in the game. The Blades themselves can utilize attacks known as Specials and these are actually capable of dealing more damage than the ARTS.

Blade Combos are also available in the game, and players will have to follow specific sequences to pull these off.

Lastly, there are also Chain Attacks which can be executed. Players will want to make sure that they fully grasp how to perform Chain Attacks as these can bring even the mightiest opponents to their knees instantaneously.

More news about "Xenoblade Chronicles 2's" battle system should be made available soon, and the game itself is due out on Dec. 1.
