'Xenoblade Chronicles 2' News: Uka Is the Latest Rare Blade Confirmed for the Game

A few other Rare Blades were introduced just recently

The developers of "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" have not shied away from using Twitter to hype up the game, and they have done so through introducing some of the characters fans can expect to see.

The latest character revealed by the developers is a Rare Blade known as Uka, NintendoEverything reported.

Right off the bat, there are elements of Uka's presentation that will likely catch the eye of fans.

Most notably, there are two foxes resting on her shoulders.

The two foxes feature manes of different colors, though it is unclear if those signify any elemental affinities or are just aesthetic choices.

Several other aspects of Uka's character design are quite different, so players will likely notice her right away.

It also appears that Uka will be using special gauntlets inside "Xenoblade Chronicles 2."

As noted previously, Uka is just the latest Rare Blade the developers introduced.

Developers have already shown off Kubira, a Rare Blade who wears fine articles of clothing and also harbors a desire to destroy the enemies put in front of him. Kubira's weapon of choice looks to be a polearm of some kind.

Next up is Azami and what is immediately so striking about her is that she almost seems like a living doll. When in battle, Azami will utilize a large firearm that seems to be quite similar in terms of design to a handgun.

One other Rare Blade previously introduced by the developers is Hotaru. Hotaru is not quite as intimidating as the other Rare Blades mentioned, or at least not right now. This one will also use something similar to a ball in battle, which is an unusual weapon choice.

Uka, Kubira, Azami and Hotaru are just some of the Rare Blades players can expect to meet inside the world of Alrest, and there will likely be more introduced in the near future.

"Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is set to be released for the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 1.
