Xiaomi Mi 6 Specs, Release Date: Xiaomi Confirms 6 GB RAM, Dual Cameras
As the much-awaited launch of the Xiaomi Mi 6 inches closer, more information about the highly anticipated flagship continues to come to light.
The Chinese tech firm has released a brand-new video teaser that confirms the device will indeed ship with 6 GB random-access memory (RAM), as suggested by previous reports.
It is unclear whether the Xiaomi Mi 6 will only come with a 6 GB RAM model or there will be other versions with lower memory, such as 4 GB, to serve as the entry level.
Either way, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is looking to be a solid flagship. The company has also confirmed in a previous teaser, as per Android Headlines, that the device will indeed come with a dual-camera setup.
This was also corroborated in a new image leaked out of Weibo, showing the purported rear cover of the Xiaomi Mi 6, which had two holes on the top right-hand side along with a smaller cutout.
The former is believed to be for its lenses while the latter is for the LED flash. Indeed, this is another showing of Xiaomi stepping up its flagship game.
Dual cameras are slowly becoming the standard in mobile imaging and it appears that Xiaomi is not one to be left behind. It is just one of the features that paint the Xiaomi Mi 6 as a premium device.
The company also takes pride in the fact that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which puts it as the one to watch in the mobile scene in China.
With 6 GB RAM and the latest of what Qualcomm has to offer, the Xiaomi flagship is expected to churn out excellent performance and power.
There is also word of the Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship being dust and water resistant, making for a stronger build. It will feature a Type-C USB port, but it ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 will be unveiled April 19.
