Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Specs: Leaked Image Reveals Bezel-Less Design, Flagship-Killing Specs

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is looking to challenge Samsung Galaxy S8's edge-to-edge display, which is the main attraction of the Samsung flagship.

New leaks showing Xiaomi's next offering suggest that it has little to no bezels on the left, right and the bottom, leaving only the top portion with bezels for the front camera and the speaker grilles.

Although the source of the leak claims that the device on the image is the Xiaomi Mi 6, the design makes Android Headlines believe that it is the new Xiaomi Mi Mix.

The defining feature of the smartphone line, which was first introduced late last year, was its bezel-less look, thanks to its unique screen-to-body ratio.

The first Xiaomi Mi Mix boasted a 91.3 percent screen to body ratio, something that many users and critics loved about the device and one that put Xiaomi in the high ranks of the mobile hierarchy.

Xiaomi has vowed to take things to the next level with the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with CEO Lei Jun stating in the past that they are aiming for a 93-percent screen to body ratio for the follow-up.

It certainly looks like the device on the leaked image achieves that. Assuming it is a legitimate image of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, the smartphone really does have slimmer bezels than that of its predecessor.

The image also shows that the new Xiaomi flagship is not getting a curved display, but it appears to don a dual camera setup aligned vertically on the back.

The leakster of the image also claims that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.

With regard to the release date, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to be launched this October, the same month last year its predecessor was introduced to the mobile world.
