Xperia Z2 Release Date for Verizon Coming in the Middle of August

The Sony Xperia Z2 release date for Verizon will be set for the middle of August.

@evleaks claims the device will launch around this time. It is currently undergoing testing and the certification process which is getting delayed because Verizon's version will support LTE-A.

A recently leaked photo featured the handset with Verizon branding and had fans of the device thinking that it might be coming soon. Verizon attempted to clarify the issues brought forth with the image with Android Authority and confirmed the actual release date while doing so.
