Xperia Z2 Tablet Price Set for $499.99 on Verizon, Device Now Available
The Sony Xperia Z2 tablet is now available to Verizon customers and is priced at $499.99 with a new two-year agreement.
It can also be purchased without a contract for $599.99 or for 20 equal payments of $29.99 through the Verizon Edge program. The only model being offered by the carrier is the 32GB black model. The tablet will be exclusive to Verizon.
Those who purchase the device through Verizon will receive 90 days of free music streaming through Music Unlimited. It will also come with 6 free preselected movie downloads from Video Unlimited and an early pass to download "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" when it is released later this year.
The Xperia Z2 tablet was introduced by Sony earlier this year and it comes with some impressive features including an ultra-thin and waterproof design. Specs on the device include a 10.1-inch HD display, a 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 32GB internal storage, 3GB RAM, NFC, 4G LTE and much more. It also runs Android 4.4.2 out of the box.
There are several accessories available for the slate including the X3 Bluetooth Speaker, Sony SmartWatch 2 Pro and the Style Cover Stand.
The speaker allows the owner of the tablet to stream all of their music via Bluetooth to this high quality sound device. The smartwatch basically functions as a wearable accessory that allows users to view their email, Facebook and Twitter on their wrists. The Style Cover Stand gives users a convenient accessory to stand their tablet up.
Sony has been trying harder to market its devices to the U.S. this year by releasing more of them to the nation's biggest carriers.
