Yolanda Foster Just Exaggerating Sickness, Says David Foster

David Foster has accused his ex-wife Yolanda Foster of exaggerating her sickness and has asked to see the actual doctor's note.

In an interview on Dec. 3 during the season 6 premiere party for "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," Yolanda Foster told Us Weekly that she spends most of her time in bed. The reality star, who has been diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease, said she has been in bed for a year already.

However, a friend of David Foster said her ex-husband thinks that she is just exaggerating her illness to gain attention from the people around her, Page Six reports.

"They believe she's exaggerating her condition," the insider told Us. "And they point out that she's never gotten a legit diagnosis or a second or third opinion."

Another source familiar with the matter also said David does not understand why Yolanda still is with "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" if her sickness takes a big toll on her body. The songwriter has already spent $5 million on his ex-wife's treatments and is frustrated that she still wants to participate in the reality show, the source adds.

Meanwhile, Yolanda is using the Bravo series to document her efforts to find a cure for Lume disease. But a close friend said the 51-year-old reality star is not just putting on a show; rather, the source said Yolanda wants to promote awareness on Lyme disease, the report details.

David and Yolanda tied the knot in 2011, but the latter was diagnosed with the disease the year after. A source explained to Us that David's failure to stick with her at the time when she needed him the most took its toll on their relationship.

On Dec. 1, David and Yolanda Foster announced their separation. In a statement, the former couple said they have encountered "inevitable challenges" during their nine years of relationship.
