YotaPhone 2 Release Date: North American Market Soon to Get Dual-Display Device as Crowdfunding Campaign Kicks Off
There are a number of cool and unique concepts when it comes to smartphones lately. However, this one definitely got the attention of more people because of its one-of-a-kind dual display.
The YotaPhone 2 was introduced a few months back, but it was not made available in more markets, particularly North America.
Fortunately, the makers of the smartphone had other plans.
According to a report by GSM Arena, the company launched an IndieGoGo campaign that will make the YotaPhone 2 available in North America, particularly in the United States and perhaps Canada.
The campaign has just began yesterday, but during the first hour after launch, it already accumulated 75 percent of the $50,000 target.
For people interested in making a pledge for the device's launch, the featured pledge is priced at $500, and would provide the backer with a YotaPhone 2 unit, plus a free bumper case.
In addition, there will also be a free three-month subscription to BookMate, which is perfect for the secondary electronic 'paper' display at the back.
In the report, the device would be released in June and would cost around $600, so backers would have at least a $100 discount for the device.
Unfortunately, the units for the IndieGoGo backers will arrive in August.
