'Young Justice' News: Season 3 Announcement a Hoax? (VIDEO)
News that Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are bringing back "Young Justice" for a third season has turned out to be untrue.
Two years after the Season 2 episode finale of "Young Justice" aired in 2013 over Cartoon Network, reports surfaced that the animated DC superhero series had been renewed for a third season.
Unfortunately, the news turned out to be a hoax which "Young Justice" producer, Greg Weisman confirmed over Twitter.

According to a story published by Comic Book Memes, a Warner Bros. source reportedly said the film and media company was reconnecting with DC Entertainment to bring back the "Young Justice" broadcast by December this year after WB and DC Entertainment pulled the plug on the superhero sidekick series to the dismay of the show's fans.
Apart from Weisman refuting the information, the news wasn't picked up by other reputable news outlets, and neither Cartoon Network nor Warner Bros. Animation have officially announced a third season for the series.
Produced by Weisman and Brandon Vietti, "Young Justice" previously aired for two seasons in 46 episodes from November 2010 to March 2013 every Saturday morning at Cartoon Network.
The show followed the adventures of teenaged Justice League sidekicks Robin, Aqualad, Speedy, Miss Martian, and Kid Flash as they went about their jobs acting as a cleanup crew and espionage network for Batman, all the while longing for recognition and respect from their senior Justice League mentors, Batman, Flash, Aquaman, and Green Arrow.
Despite the large fan following, the show was cancelled due to low toy sales, leaving audiences with a cliffhanger episode at the end of the Season 2 finale.
The popularity of the animated show has even spawned a Facebook page, "Young Justice Needs a Season 3," advocating Warner Bros., DC Entertainment, and Cartoon Network to renew the series.
