YouTube Star Caleb 'Bratayley' Dies after Mysterious Medical Emergency

YouTube star Caleb Logan Bratayley died last week after a mysterious medical condition, which is still unconfirmed until now.

On Thursday, Caleb Logan Bratayley, 13, suffered from a mysterious medical emergency that prompted police and other emergency personnel to respond to his home in Maryland at around 7 p.m. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital, but authorities said there is no criminal probe into the young YouTube star's death, according to USA Today.

On Monday, Anne Arundel County Police said an autopsy has yet to be conducted. Until then, the real cause of death of Caleb Bratayley remains unknown, the Washington Post reports.

Katie, Caleb's mother, confirmed her son's death on Friday in a post on their official Instagram page. She said the YouTube star died "from natural causes" and asked for privacy while they are mourning Caleb's death.

"This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him," USA Today quotes Katie's Instagram post. "…We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos, but ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family."

Caleb Bratayley, whose real name was Caleb LeBlanc, was known as one of the stars in his family's YouTube vlog series titled "Bratayleys." He was also known for posting YouTube videos about his experiences playing the video game "Minecraft," the report details.

The family rose to worldwide fame after showcasing their ordinary lives on the video sharing website starting 2010. Since then, their daily videos have garnered over a billion views on YouTube, with their top episode racking up more than 22 million views.

Just a day before he died, Caleb Bratayley appeared in a video where he was having breakfast with his mom and sisters Annie and Hayley. In what seemed like a prophetic twist, he said if there was one question he could ask his future self, he would want to know if Taco Bell was still around. Sadly, he will never have the chance to do that.
