'YS VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana' PC Release Date Delay News: PC Version to Launch Alongside New Localization
Although there have been several complaints made regarding the "Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana" gameplay recently, the team behind it are working on improving the game and are nearing the completion of its PC version.
Software company NIS America recently released a statement regarding "Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana," in which they apologized for the localization problems that the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita version owners have experienced since the game's release on these platforms last month. They also provided new updates regarding the much-awaited PC version.
Although the PC version was expected to be released shortly after the other versions, it has been delayed for several weeks now. Apparently, the delay is caused by the company wanting to make further improvements in its quality.
In the statement, NIS America revealed that they have been working with great effort on improvements and bug fixes since the last time the company made an announcement.
"We considered the overall issues, obstacles that arose during debug, and the maximum resources we have to address them and concluded that it will take another two months for the Steam release to meet the expectations we set for ourselves and guarantee the quality that every Ys fan has come to expect," the write-up read. "In addition, we will use this time to apply the updated localization to the game," it went on to say.
NIS America also added that they are planning to release the PC version for "Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana" sometime in mid-December.
Furthermore, the company said: "We were unfortunately unable to deliver a simultaneous release with the Steam and console versions and apologize for our delayed postponement announcement"
NIS America President Takura Yamashita reportedly also sent out an announcement via email to customers, apologizing to them regarding the localization issues. As a result, the company is committing to edit and re-localize the translation for the game.
They are also currently working with Peter "Durante" Thoman, creator of the PC downsampling tool called GeDoSaTo, on the development of "Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana."
According to Dual Shockers, with Durante on the team, fans can expect a flawless PC version of the game.
