'Zoo' episode 10 spoilers and episode 9 recap: The team is on the run
"Zoo" is a new series that is based on a book of the same name by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge. The series airs on CBS and will end its freshman run on Sep. 15. The series revolves around a man named Jackson Oz (James Wolk), an American zoologist, who notices the strange behavior of the animals around him as he searches for a solution to the problem.
The forthcoming episode of Zoo is titled "Emotional Contagion." The official synopsis reads: "The team find themselves on the run as fugitives when they go to Zambia in order to obtain Leopard DNA so that they can create a cure for the weird behavior that is affecting the animals around the world. They seek the help of an animal rights activist in order to get out of the country safely. Chloe (Nora Arnezeder) will make the ultimate sacrifice in order to avoid bloodshed."
In the last episode, Mitch (Billy Burke) steals some medication for his daughter and the mother cell from the clinic but he runs into Chloe's boss while trying to get away. Clayton (Steven Culp), Chloe's boss, locks the door and demands that Mitch give the mother cell back and take the medication. Mitch gets away by throwing a chair and then running away. Delevane (Carl Lumpley) calls security and gives them a description of Mitch.
The building is put on lockdown as Clayton tells security to search floor by floor. Mitch triggers a siren when he opens an emergency exit that leads him to a busy street. Mitch firmly believes that the mother cell can reverse the mutation, but he needs an animal that has mutated and has not been exposed to the mother cell.
Jackson tells his friends that no one will believe them regarding the Rieden Group and that they need to find a cure instead. The team marks some important locations on a map as a flock of mutated birds arrive. They discover that the birds are somehow communicating with each other. The team has to go to Zambia as Clayton and Delevane talk.
