Zopo Speed 8 Launched at MWC 2016, Comes with Helio X20, 5.5-Inch Display, 4 GB of RAM
Chinese smartphone maker Zopo took part at the Mobile World Congress 2016 and unveiled its newest products. One of them is its flagship device dubbed as the Speed 8. According to a report by Android Headlines, the device is the world's first smartphone to be equipped with the deca-core Helio X20 MediaTek processor running at 700MHz.
It is paired with 4 GB of RAM and comes with an internal memory storage of 32 GB that can also be expanded further via a microSD card slot. As for its other specs, Gadgets 360 detailed that the new device sports a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS touch screen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. It runs with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has a smartphone dimension of 152.50 x 76.30 x 9.80 (height x width x thickness). Its weight is 136 grams.
As for the camera specs, the device flaunts a 21-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. GSM Arena noted that the rear camera is a Sony IMX230 that features phase detection AF and dual-tone flash. The front camera also comes with a LED flash. Powering the handset is a large 3,600mAh battery pack.
The Zopo Speed 8 is also made with dual SIM support (GSM and GSM) and can cater two Micro-SIMs. It has a USB-Type C connectivity port and supports fast charging, as well as LTE connectivity. Other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G, and GPS.
In terms of design, the smartphone is wrapped with matte plastic with glossy silver frame. It is also incorporated with silver accents around the earpiece, the rear camera, and the fingerprint scanner at the back. Phone Radar noted that the fingerprint sensor can be used to take photos and unlock the screen with the biometric security.
To come in Black or White, the Zopo Speed 8 can be pre-ordered starting March 7 at $299. Shipments starts from April 12.
