ZTE Nubia Z7 Specs, Price News: Former Flagship Now Available Globally, Only Costs $300
ZTE may not be well-known across the Pacific Ocean, but it has been among the emerging brands in China and Southeast Asia in recent years. The secret is the phone's release of high quality but affordable devices.
The ZTE Nubia Z7 is among these devices.
Launched more than a year ago, the Nubia Z7 flagship was announced alongside a few other smartphones, which were only made available in China. The Nubia Z7 itself was not readily available in markets outside of ZTE's home market, and interested buyers were forced to get the device through retailers that place a big markup price.
Fortunately, for people who are not bothered even though they're not using the latest smartphones, the ZTE Nubia Z7 can now be purchased from anywhere in the globe.
According to a report by GSM Arena, the smartphone is now available through Chinese e-retailer Gearbest at only $299.99, which is 50 percent off the original price tag. To make the deal even more enticing, the retailer offers the device with free shipping anywhere in the world.
However, interested buyers should take note that they may still be charged with customs and other forms of taxes for the device, so they have to consider these factors as well.
The ZTE Nubia Z7 boasts a 5.5-inch display with a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, a 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 801 chipset, and quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz, and 32GB of built-in memory. Other specs include a 13MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation, dual-tone LED flash, a 5MP front camera, dual-SIM compatibility, 3,000mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box, which should be updated to Lollipop.
The markdown of the price of the Nubia Z7 could also be an indication that a ZTE flagship could be announced soon.
