ZTE Star 3 Rumors, Specs: Upcoming Android Smartphone Will Allegedly Boast UHD or 4K Display
While most smartphone makers today are doing everything to join the QHD or 2K resolution trend for flagships, ZTE has other things in mind.
According to a report by GSM Arena, an unannounced ZTE handset will become the first mobile phone from the Chinese manufacturer to get a UHD or 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution. In case you are wondering, that will amount to a pixel density of 806ppi.
Dubbed as the ZTE Star 3, the Android-powered smartphone will allegedly come with a 5.5-inch screen and its ultra high definition screen, as mentioned in a report coming from China.
In the report, the TFT panel that will be used for the screen will be composed of a new crystal structure. This would reportedly enable the screen not only to become more durable, but more power efficient as well.
Like other manufacturers, ZTE is aiming to improve on its sales this year. And this time around, it is not just targeting its home market in China, but its immediate neighbors as well.
While the new 4K display smartphone from the China-based company is definitely a promising rumor, nothing has been confirmed just yet. So for Android and ZTE fans who are already interested in this unannounced device, you better take these updates with a pinch of salt.
