However, despite a 78 to 21 percent split in favor of Mitt Romney among white evangelicals, the coalition's leader implied that Barack Obama's win was catapulted by votes from youths and minorities.

  A former member of the militant Black Panthers who now pastors a megachurch in Sacramento, Calif., has received aggressive criticism, including death threats, for his support of biblical values that are more in line with the Republicans' party platform, according to a local news station. The pastor told a Fox News affiliate recently that he will not be voting for President Barack Obama.

A religious persecution watchdog group says the implementation of such a constitution is expected and can only mean deepening trouble for Christians in the country.

  As much of the U.S. took part in the usual Halloween festivities last night, residents in the Northeast were still coping with the widespread damage caused by the monster storm that hit Monday. By mid-evening Wednesday, the death toll from superstorm Sandy had reached 72 people and about 6 million homes were still without power.
