$450 Pizza Offered in Canada
A pizzeria chain in British Columbia has created a pricey pie featuring extravagant toppings such as caviar for the price of $450.
Steveston Pizza Company's lavish pie, entitled "C6," offers lobster thermidor, black Alaska cod, and a side of Russian Osetra caviar.
Nader Hatami, owner and founder of Steveston Pizza Co., said he sold his first C6 to, unsurprisingly, "a very rich person," reported the Calgary Herald.

Founded in the historic Richmond community, Steveston Pizza has also opened in Vancouver as well as South Surrey.
The pizzeria chain also offers a $120 pizza dubbed C5 that comes with roasted garlic, Icelandic scampi, smoked steelhead and lobster ratatouille.
Hatami revealed he has sold seven of the less-expensive pies, noting, "I never thought I'd sell so many."
Both the C5 and C6 must be ordered in advance.
Hatami was once a chef on cruise ships as well as at the Wedgewood Hotel. Perhaps it was at the luxury establishments that the idea for high-end pizzas arose.
"The idea was to make a culinary statement," explained the pizzeria owner of his pricey offerings. "I don't know if you've tried our pizza, but each one is pretty unique."
Other items on Steveston's menu do not come at such a high price such as "The Usual" which costs $14 for a regular-sized pizza. "The Journeys" category offers Mediterranean toppings such as feta and olives, while "Elements and More" include pizza with water, shrimp, snow crab, and basil pesto, all for around $20.
The C category of the menu includes pizza priced at $28, with the exception of the C5 and C6.
Hatami expressed the importance of ingredients, sharing that Steveston employs "very good cheese," reported Calgary.
"As far as the taste goes, anybody can come up with the right amount of salt and pepper," said the chef. "To me, good food is the one that feels good after eating it. You don't say, 'Oh, I need to take a nap' or 'Oh, I'm so stuffed.'"
Hatami's C6 joins other expensive pizza pies such as the most expensive, commercially available pizza in the world at Gordon Ramsey's Maze restaurant, located in London, U.K.
Listed in 2005's Guinness World Records, the wood fire-baked pizza is topped with onion puree, white truffle paste, fontina cheese, baby mozzarella, pancetta, cep mushrooms, and freshly picked wild mizuna lettuce. Additionally, the dish is garnished with fresh shavings of a rare Italian white truffle- itself worth $2,500 per just over two pounds. In the year 2005, the pizza was regularly sold at $178, but the price depended on how much white truffle is available at the time.
Today, the menu at Maze no longer includes the high-end pizza.
