5 highlights from Biden's interview with George Stephanopoulos: 'The Lord's not coming down'
'I'm running the world'
Repeatedly dodging Stephanopoulos' question regarding whether he would be willing to undergo an independent medical and cognitive evaluation amid concerns over his neurological health, Biden suggested the fact he is "running the world" is proof that he is mentally capable.
"Look, I have a cognitive test every single day," Biden said. "Every day I have that test. Everything I do. You know, not only am I campaigning, but I'm running the world. Sounds like hyperbole, but we are the essential nation of the world."

Despite Biden's claims that he is regularly speaking with world leaders and "taking on Putin," Stephanopoulos reiterated the fact that many Americans are concerned about Biden's age and health.
"Watch me between — there's a lot of time left in this campaign," Biden said when Stephanopoulos pressed him again about an independent medical exam. "There's over 125 days."
Biden went on to dismiss Stephanopoulos' line of questioning by asserting that voters will "make a decision."
