Adam Levine Blasts Fox News for Using Maroon 5's Music
Maroon 5 singer, Adam Levine is making headlines with his angry Twitter posts against Fox News.
The 32-year-old singer, told the broadcast channel to stop playing his band's music and called the station an "evil (expletive) channel" on Twitter Wednesday.
However, Fox's news anchors fired back quickly on their own Twitter's with 45-year-old Andy Levy saying, "Dear Adam Levine, don't make crappy (expletive) music again. Thank you."
Greg Gutfeld, 47, host of "Redeye" posted a few jokes aimed at the singer and his band, "Why did Maroon 5 cross the road?" Then posted the answer to the question and joke saying, "Because crappy music is legal there!"
He then retweeted Levine's statements and poked more fun at the singer, tweeting, "(Sample tweet: names that sound alike: Maroon 5 and crap. @adamlevine Names that sound alike: @kelseygrammer and @chelseahandler.)"
This isn't the first time Levine has caused controversy on Twitter. He has even gone after the MTV Video Music Awards, mocking MTV saying, "[It's the] one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music."
Levine also went after "American Idol" earlier this year and criticized the show for how it treated gay performers.
Currently the frontman is starring in a singing talent show called "The Voice" as a vocal coach and mentor.
Levine with Maroon 5 has been nominated for seven Grammy awards and has won two of them, including "Best New Artist" in 2005 and "Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals" in 2006.
The band has also won four various MTV music awards and two Billboard Music Awards for "Digital Artist of the Year" in 2004 and "Top Digital Album," in 2007.
The song that really put the band on the map was "This Love" in 2004 off of their 2002 album, Songs About Jane.
