'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3 Spoilers: New Character Revealed

The return of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 is expected to reveal some new and familiar faces.

A promotional video for the midseason premiere of the highly anticipated Marvel series revealed that Daisy's team of Inhumans will be introduced to the series soon.

Along with that, the trailer also showed Director Coulson, played by Clark Gregg, encountering the U.S. President. It was revealed that William Sadler will join the cast of the series to take on the role of the President of the United States. He was seen portraying the role during the "Iron Man 3" movie.

Aside from Sadler, it was revealed that another new face will be making an appearance. Natalia Cordova-Buckley will be taking on the role of Elena Rodriguez, also known as Slingshot. While it is still unsure on which side she will be taking in the series, fans are looking forward to the debut of her character.

Slingshot has the ability of super speed. However, her power has a limitation, which requires her to go to a certain area in order to make use of her super speed. With that, there are expectations for the character to provide a fun new aspect to the series.

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait later into the season to meet the new character. In the meantime, as reported by Entertainment Weekly, the synopsis for the upcoming episode titled "Bouncing Back" reads, "In the aftermath of his trip to Maveth, Coulson is more determined than ever to get to Gideon Malick and put an end to Hydra once and for all. Daisy and the team encounter more Inhumans who have powers like they've never seen before, but will they be friends or enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 is expected to return on ABC this Mar. 9.
