Alan Jackson's Daughter Accused of Assaulting Police Officer During Traffic Stop in Nashville
Country music star Alan Jackson's 20-year-old daughter has been charged with assault, underage drinking and resisting arrest after she was accused of hitting a police officer and failing to head officer commands during a traffic stop in Nashville.
Local reports indicate that Alexandra Jane Jackson was a passenger in a car pulled over by Metro Nashville police on Wednesday night. According to a police affidavit, Jackson was not cooperative and failed to adhere to officer requests for her to stay in the vehicle.
A police report indicates that after the vehicle was stopped for alleged driving infractions Jackson refused to stay in the vehicle.

"While an officer was questioning the driver, the warrant says the younger Jackson got out of the car and made angry demands. Eventually, she hit the officer in the chest. Police noted that the woman had consumed a large amount of alcohol… She told police she had three alcoholic drinks," the police report states.
As the situation escalated Jackson is accused of raising her hand to the officer and striking him in the chest.
Alan Jackson's daughter has since been charged with one count related to underage drinking and assault of a police officer. It was also reported that during the arrest Jackson allegedly invoked her famous dad, saying that Alan Jackson "would do anything I wanted him to do."
The news comes as Jackson releases a new bluegrass album and the singer recently said Nashville can be a tougher crowd than big stadiums.
"I'd rather play a 10,000-seat arena than play [a club] here in Nashville… Nashville you get a lot of music people, artists and other industry people - it's not like [playing for] your regular fans, so it always makes you feel a little bit more pressure," the country music star said as reported by USA Today.
