Alec Baldwin Twitter Tirade Defends Wife at Gandolfini's Funeral
Alec Baldwin lashed out on Twitter against another tabloid this week over claims made by the U.K.'s Daily Mail.
The Twitter tirade began Thursday after the funeral of "Sopranos" star James Gandolfini, which Baldwin and his wife both attended.
Following the funeral, the Daily Mail ran a story claiming that Hilaria had tweeted "upbeat posts" during the somber ceremony.
Incensed by the British newspaper's claims, Baldwin took to Twitter defending his wife with off-color accusations of his own.
The series of tweets by the "30 Rock" star included strong language and a plethora of threats directed at Mail Online reporter George Stark.
"My wife and I attend a funeral to pay our respects to an old friend and some toxic Brit writes this [expletive] trash" started Baldwin on Thursday, according to E! News.
"My wife DID NOT use her phone, in any capacity, at our friend's funeral. Now f--- this twitter + good luck to all of you who know the truth," the 55-year-old actor continued.
"If (sic) put my foot up your [expletives], George Stark, but I'm sure you'd dig it too much," he later added, according to Mail Online.
"I'm gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little queen," read another post.
The Twitter posts as well as Baldwin's account on the social media site have since been deleted.
Meanwhile, Hilaria Baldwin and his wife are expecting their first child together and the couple previously announced they are awaiting a baby girl.
The first-time mother-to-be also defended herself on Twitter following the Daily Mail report.
"Here is some info," the yoga instructor started to explain on the micro blogging site. "When someone tweets something at a certain time, and you retweet it later, it posts the TIME the first person tweeted."
Baldwin's child with Hilaria the actor's second; he shares one daughter, Ireland, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
Baldwin's recent Twitter outburst was not his first, and the actor has deactivated his account several times in the past.
