Amanda Bynes Party Photos: Actress Blasts 'Fake' Images, Threatens to Sue
Amanda Bynes has threatened to sue a US tabloid after it published troubling photos which appear to show the actress displaying bizarre behavior at a drug fueled party.
In Touch Weekly magazine released a series of photographs reportedly showing Bynes' "disheveled living conditions" Wednesday. In one photo the troubled actress can be seen "atop a bare mattress, smoking a joint," but she claims all of the photos have been doctored and is allegedly pursuing legal action.
"I have to sue because that's not my apartment, those aren't my clothes! They morphed photos of my face onto someone's body to ruin my life!" an irate Bynes tweeted Thursday.
"I have to make a big deal of this and sue because that's not me! I care about my appearance so I have to defend myself! I look like a different person now that I had surgery!" she went on. "That's not my bed! Those aren't my toes! My toes are pedicured!"
The former child star, 27, allegedly hosted a party inside of her New York City apartment and photographer Giovanni Arnold attended along with another guest only identified as "Joe." Both men allege Bynes was doing drugs, but she has denied their claims.
"They're the ones into drugs, so they bring drugs, but I don't do them," Bynes allegedly told the tabloid.
In one photo, Bynes appears to be applying her makeup while an unidentified man stands behind her, clutching a cigarette. She is "dancing with a strange man" in the photo who is "smoking weed with her," Joe claimed.
In recent months the former Nickelodeon star has raised concerns about her mental well being after displaying a series of odd behavior, including shaving her head and posting sexually explicit tweets. While many critics have assumed the party photos are just the latest in a string of odd behavior, Bynes maintains they are "fake."
"The photos in this issue are fake and mocked up! I don't care enough to keep talking about it," Bynes wrote.
