'Amazing Spider-Man 3' Movie Rumors, News: Next Marvel Phase to Include Spidey in Avengers 3?
The talks about the rumored sequel to Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man" franchise have once again revived. Just recently, it's been heard on the grapevine that Marvel's purported "The Avengers 3" will be split into two parts.
First off, the likelihood of "The Avengers 3" to be split up into two is close to a possible as it was reported that the contracts of the main actors are now close to expiration. The studio has yet to use up the films they were contracted for.
According to Christian Today, Marvel's move to set up the next Marvel Comics Universe phase will hinder the renewal of the actors' contracts, including that with Chris Helmsworth, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Evans, just to name a few.
What the studio will do instead is to "shake up" the whole franchise and make two "Avengers 3" films. This could be where the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man comes into the picture.
As stated by the media outlet, Sony Pictures is now reported to be considering the thought of sharing the Spider-Man brand with Marvel "in the hopes of reviving the movie franchise." Sony was quite disappointed with what the two reboots did in terms of ticket sales.
HitFlix, who first on this issue maintained that the information isn't verified yet and are all based upon speculations.
However, if these assumptions could come to fruition, then it will surely be a treat for the avid fans of the Marvel superheroes to see Spider-Man finally joining the team.
It could also be a win-win for both Sony and Marvel with the former getting the most of the brand while the latter will now be able to push forward their plans of progressing the Marvel cinemtic universe.
