Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich Upgrade Released for HTC Sensation

All unlocked models of the HTC Sensation XL can now upgrade to Android 4.0.3, Ice Cream Sandwich, according to a recent report from YouMobile.org.

Screenshots of the software running on the device have also surfaced proving that this is not just a rumor.

The update also brings HTC Sense 3.6 to the device.

This smartphone should not be dismissed, as it sports some great features including a 4.7-inch S-LCD capacitive touchscreen that is 480 x 800 pixels, 16GB of internal storage, 768MB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a dual-core 1.5GHz Scorpion processor.

It also features Beats audio and comes in white.

HTC recently released its list of devices that will be receiving the Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich update this year along with the timeframe of when it will roll out for them.

The company will be bringing the latest Android software to many of its popular smartphones including the Droid Incredible 2, the HTC Amaze 4G, the HTC Desire S, HTC Desire HD, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO 4G+, HTC EVO Design 4G, HTC Incredible S, Thunderbolt, HTC Velocity 4G, the HTC Vivid and many more.

HTC also launched its new One line of smartphones that comes with Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed earlier this month. The line includes the HTC One V, One S and One X.

The HTC One X launched for AT&T earlier this month.

Specifications on the One X include a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, a 4.7-inch Super LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels, an 8-megapixel camera that includes an ImageChip that kicks up picture processing. It is also a 4G LTE device and features Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.
