Android 4.3 HTC One Update Hits Select European Markets

The Android 4.3 HTC One update is now available in several European markets.

HTC UK announced this week that the update would only be available on the U.K. version of the device in three to five weeks, which disappointed European One users who were growing tired of waiting for it.

However, to many users' surprise, the company has already kicked off the rollout in some parts of the continent. The update is now rolling out in Russia and countries in Eastern Europe, according to LlabTooFeR. Alex Dobie of Android Central confirmed that the update for the Scandinavian versions of the HTC One is also now available.

Along with Android 4.3, the software update also includes Sense 5.5. It brings various changes to the firmware including improvements to the Video Highlights feature, Music Improvements and a slew of bug fixes and tweaks. The update is 675MB and brings the smartphone up to version 3.62.401.1.

The Android 4.3 is now available for the Nexus 7 LTE and LG G2 in the form of a new ROM.

The CyanogenMod team announced the release of two new builds for the devices earlier this week.

Various users of LG's device have complained about the pre-installed software and will now have the opportunity to run a cleaner ROM with CM 10.2 which is based on a pure form of Android 4.3. The team also released this build for the Verizon G2, but pulled it back due to some unexpected issues. Another roll out should be coming soon.

The Nexus 7 LTE also has access to this CM 10.2 nightly build that brings a slew of improvements to the device such as Bluetooth LE support and OpenGL ES 3.0 support. Users should secure their correct Google Apps package before installing the ROM.
