Android 4.4.2, KitKat Update Rolling Out for LG G Flex on AT&T
The Android 4.4.2, KitKat update will be rolling out for the LG G Flex on AT&T this week.
The carrier announced the update's availability yesterday and it is expected to hit the smartphone sometime today.
The new software will bring significant changes including full-screen "immersive" mode, a restyled notification area, a new navigation area, better battery performance and improved overall OS performance.

The device will also now feature cloud printing, Tab & Pay for NFC payments, the ability to choose a default SMS app, colored emoji support, and improved music controls from the lock screen.
The update weighs in at 686MB. Users can check for it in the Settings menu by navigating to the Software update section.
The LG G Flex features a 6-inch 720p display, a 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 3500mAh battery.
It also comes with a button on the back instead of on the side. The backing on it is made from a "special protective film" has the ability to repair itself just minutes after it is scratched.
The G Flex does not feature any special software that caters to the Flex display. However, it does come with tilting wallpaper and different unlocking effects when the screen is touched in different places.
The device's main appeal is that it provides a better experience for watching video. Users also have the ability to turn on multimedia apps directly from the lock screen, and have better ergonomics for phone calls.
The LG G Flex launched back in November of last year and is one of the more low-key innovative handsets to be released in 2013.
