Angelina Jolie 'Steaming Mad' At Brad Pitt's Mom Over Political Letter, Engagement in Jeopardy?

Angelina Jolie is said to be furious with Jane Pitt, the mother of her fiancé Brad Pitt, for writing a politically motivated letter to her local newspaper.

Mrs. Pitt, a devout Christian, urged the public to vote for Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney in the next election as opposed to President Obama who she condemned as "a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage." As a result, Jolie, who along with Pitt supports Obama and the LGBT community, is said to be "steaming mad," according to Star Magazine.

"She has told Brad he must educate his mother but Brad is too much of a mama's boy," a source told Star.

"If Brad won't do it, Angelina will have to take matters into her own hands and talk to Jane about how, as the mother of such a prominent celebrity, she shouldn't be writing letters that clash with her son's political opinions," the source added.

In her letter to the editor of Missouri's Springfield News-Leader, Mrs. Pitt urged the public to support Romney who she described as being a "family man" with "high morals."

"Any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon," she wrote.

Jolie, 36, and Pitt, 48, who share six biological and adopted children together, have spent years advocating for same-sex marriage and at one point vowed not to wed until same sex marriage becomes legal throughout the U.S. The couple of seven years became engaged in May, and a source says that a confrontation between Mrs. Pitt and Jolie could jeopardize their engagement.

"It'll eventually end up in a huge blowout, with Brad stuck in the middle," the source said.

Mrs. Pitt has received death threats since publicizing her controversial letter and is now said to be fearful and reluctant to further discuss her political views to the media.
