Apollo Nida Attempting To Avoid Trial With Plea Deal?

Apollo Nida is looking to avoid having to face a trial for fraud charges by entering a plea deal in court.

Nida, the husband to "Real Housewives of Atlanta" personality Phaedra Parks, made headlines earlier this year for creating fake businesses, false bank accounts and using stolen checks while defrauding automotive lenders, according to Access Atlanta reports.

"Counsel for Mr. Nida and counsel for the government have been engaged in discussions aimed at resolving this matter without a trial since February 10, 2014," court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com. "They are still in the process of investigating additional facts and negotiating a resolution."

The news of Nida's legal issues caused people like media maven Wendy Williams to publicly advise Phaedra Parks to leave "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."

"Apollo and Phaedra, it's time for you to get off reality TV," Williams previously said on her talk show. "It's really bad."

While Nida and Parks have said little to nothing about the former's charges, their fellow cast member on the Bravo series Cynthia Bailey said her husband Peter Thomas seems to be in his corner.

"I mean, I read about it as well. I don't like to call people when I hear bad news," Bailey said earlier this year on the Bravo late night show "Watch What Happens Live." "I like to call people when I hear good news. I think Peter did speak to Apollo earlier ... and he said they were taking care of things. Hopefully everything will work out. "

Thomas remained tight lipped about Nida's legal woes.

"I don't know nothing about it," Thomas told Sister 2 Sister magazine about Nida's legal woes. "I have absolutely no comment on his arrest."

Thomas said he believed Nida was a good person telling the publication "he's a really nice guy."

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" personality and former beauty queen Kenya Moore previously told talks show host Bethenny Frankel that she believes Nida will "absolutely" go to jail after his latest charges.
