Apollo Nida Explains Phaedra Parks' Birthday Speech

Apollo Nida is explaining why he made a seemingly awkward birthday speech for his wife Phaedra Parks' birthday in the latest episode of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."

While some fans of the show took to Twitter to question why Nida gave his wife a questionable short speech, he responded to one person who decided to express their disapproval. According to Nida, the entire birthday speech he gave to Parks in front of her friends was not aired on the Bravo TV show.

"It was really good but they edited it & thats something I can't control," Nida tweeted to a fan.

Still, Parks readily admits that marriage is not easy.

"Marriage is tough," she told S2S magazine last year. "The more time you can spend with your spouse-definitely quality time-it sorta makes it a lot better and hopefully it creates more intimacy in the relationship."
