Apple Store Application Features EasyPay and Personal Pickup
Apple updated its Apple Store application and made it possible for customers to use the EasyPay and Personal Pickup options.
The EasyPay program lets Apple customers search for and buy inexpensive products through their iOS-enabled device and camera.
High-priced items, such as the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, will still require the assistance of Apple store employees. Only now, customers will not have to get the attention of employees with an EasyPay device to finish their payment.

Customers will use their iOS smartphone or tablet to scan the bar code on any product they wish to have. Once scanned, a slew of important information regarding the item pops up. Other customer reviews, ratings, product specifications, features and more will be available for viewing.
Once done, customers must login with their Apple ID and pay with the credit card they use for their iTunes account. Some Apple employees do not think this program is a good initiative for the company, though.
Technology website 9to5Mac.com explained the employees' feelings on the matter: "Store workers we’ve contacted have called this 'EasyTheft' because of the perceived ease in which someone could walk out of a store with an item without paying.”
Apple held an overnight meeting last week regarding the new EasyPay system. The company talked to their Apple Store employees about the specifics of the new EasyPay system and rearranged accessories that will be available for buy.
As for the Personal Pickup option, customers are now able to request an item to be bought at an Apple retail store. The selected item will be ready within 12 minutes.
This option could solve the problem of overcrowded Apple stores, because customers can now make all their purchases and item inquiries from their iPhone, iPad or iTouch.
The Track Your Stuff addition to the Apple Store application also lets customers keep note the items they have looked at or bought.
Several Apple Stores, such as the Upper West Side location, have already instituted this new way of shopping and buying items.
