Apple Stores Offer Express Lane, EasyPay and Personal Pickup to Customers

Last evening, Apple set up its new express lanes for customers looking to make their purchases quickly and more efficiently.

Apple used these express lanes in the past to help holiday shoppers get their items faster.

Numerous Apple Store specialists monitor the express lanes. The products in stock are high-end Mac computers, iPods, iTouchs and iPads. Customers can shorten their wait time for items by entering into the express lanes.

The Hong Kong Apple Store is reportedly so busy they had to introduce a year-round express counter.

Apple recently updated its Apple Store application and made it possible for customers to use the EasyPay and Personal Pickup options.

The EasyPay program lets Apple customers search for and buy inexpensive products through their iOS-enabled device and camera.

High-priced items, such as the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, will require the assistance of Apple store employees. Only now, customers will not have to get the attention of employees with an EasyPay device to finish their shopping.

Customers will use their iOS smartphone or tablet to scan the bar code on any product they wish to have, and once scanned, a slew of important information regarding the item pop up. Other customer reviews, ratings, product specifications, features and more will be available for viewing in the pop up.

After reviewing the device, customers must login with their Apple ID and pay with the credit card used on their iTunes account.

Customers are also able to request an item to be bought at an Apple retail store with the Personal Pickup option. The selected item will be ready within 12 minutes.

This option could solve the problem of overcrowded Apple stores, because customers can make all their purchases and item inquiries from their iPhone, iPad or iTouch.

The Track Your Stuff addition to the Apple Store application lets customers keep notes on the items they have looked at or bought.

Several Apple Stores, such as the Upper West Side location, have already instituted this new way of shopping and buying items.

Technology website 9to5Mac forum user "Zee" likes these new additions to the Apple Store: "The express lanes are still a good idea, [in my opinion]. And not just for [the] holiday. Plus I'm pretty sure the new app with purchasing thing[s] doesn't include the big-ticket serialized products like iPods and computers.

The express lanes will most likely add to the customer satisfaction of Apple Store shoppers this holiday season.
